Annapurna Base Camp -The Trekkers Dream

The Himalaya- as we heard this name we feel like a cool breeze containing the essence of mountains touched us. It is a source of inspiration for all of us. The Himalaya is not a mountain it is living legend. It is the biggest dream of every trekker in this world to trek on the Himalayan routes.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the topmost desired Himalayan trek. It is the trek of dreams where peaks will welcome you as you belong to them. All the things which bother you will disappear during trekking and gives you the thrill.

Some Facts

Annapurna Base Camp is situated at the core Himalayas at the height of 4,130 m from sea level. The view of peaks gives you feeling of high altitude as well as a high attitude. As you start trekking you will get a glimpse of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m) peaks. The view of these peaks will be mesmerized you.

Another Name

This trek is also known as Annapurna Sanctuary trek because the whole route is near along by sanctuary area. When you see this sanctuary from the height it will look like an oval shape. Actually, the sanctuary is the part of Annapurna Conservation Area. The entrance of this area is a narrow valley between Machapuchhre and Hiunchuli.

Beginning of The Thrill - Itinerary of The Trek

The journey of this trek will start from Pokhara- a beautiful city of Nepal. Pokhara is situated at 6-7 hours driving distance from Kathmandu.

Annapurna Base Camp trek requires 7-9 days minimum and if you have more time then you can extend it also. So there is now the itinerary is following-

Day-1 Arrival at Pokhara

Reach Pokhara, check-in at the accommodation of your choice or pre-booked and get acclimatized. In the evening you may purchase the items according to your requirements during trekking. Enjoy the nightlife with a delicious dinner and have a good sleep

Day-2 Pokhara to Nayapul followed trekking to Ghandruk

In the morning, have breakfast and cross-check with all your items before starting the journey. After setup, Start the journey to Nayapul either by bus or private cab which is 40km away from Pokhara. Familiar with your guide for further instructions and information.

Now your trek will start from Nayapul, after a thrilling experience of passing Bhrungy river suspension bridge, you will reach Birethanti where you will sign some format documents provided by the authority.

Till evening you will reach Ghandruk where the majestic view of Machapuchare Peak will wait for you. Enjoy the night between the mountains and have good sleep.

Day -3 Ghandruk to Sinuwa

Wake up early in the morning to see the magnificent sunrise from Himalayan Peaks and have your breakfast. Now your trekking will start, it will take 7 hours to reach Sinuwa.

During the trek, you will be mesmerized by the Himalayan flora and fauna and also you will find amazing photographic points. During the trek, you will pass Modi River, Kimrong River, Gurung Village and after passing Chomrong River at Chomrong till evening you will reach Sinuwa.

Sinuwa is known for the Bamboo forest, Rhododendron and Oak forests.

Day- 4 Sinuwa To Deurali

WithOn the fourth day of trekking, you will experience a new kind of thrill by ascending stone staircase after passing kuldahar and bridge crossing at Dobhan. Take rest at campsite Deurali.

Day-5 Deurali To Annapurna Base Camp

This day will be the most awaited day by you to see the Annapurna Base Camp. You will be trekking along with Modi River. As you reach the South Annapurna Base Camp, you will feel that you are at the top of the world.

Day-6 Annapurna Base Camp To Bamboo

On the day sixth, backtrack to Bamboo including Dobhan. During trekking, you will pass through waterfalls, caves and forest. Which will be again a new kind of adventure trekking.

Day-7 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda

Backtrack to Jhinu Danda from Bamboo. Jhinu Danda is well known for its natural hot springs. After the strenuous trek, it will be an awesome experience to take natural hot-bath in surroundings of Himalayas.Night

Day-8 Jhinu Danda To Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara

On day eighth descend to Nayapul which will take 7 Hrs to reach. After reaching at Nayapul take a short rest then drive to Pokhara. Enjoy the evening at the beautiful town of Nepal- Pokhara.

Day -9 Departure

In the morning have breakfast and check-out for your ongoing journey from Kathmandu with lifetime memorable memories.
